  1. I think that the United States shouldn't get involved in other country's policies because there are many bad things that could happen. A country could overthrow our government and we would be in trouble. When we interfered with Iran they fought back and took 52 hostages from the U.S. Embassy.

    1. I agree completely! Also, the U.S. would be taking away the rights of anyone in that country by changing their government.

  2. I don't think the U.S should get involved in other policies because the U.S might not agree on what the other countries do. Also they might not agree with the government and what type of government it is which could cause a revolution. When we decided Iran's leader he made everyone starve and also kept all the money for himself and that started a huge revolution and made Iran hate the U.S. I think the U.S should stay out of other countries policies.

  3. No, unless the country needs America’s help and asks for it. Otherwise our relationship will most likely just fall apart and result in chaos and angry people who rebel. For instance, look what happened when we got involved with Iran and gave Iran’s Shah power-they burned American flags and even held 52 Americans hostage and attacked our embassy!

    1. Hope, I agree I liked how you used an example to explain what could happen if America got involved in others countries government it would result in something bad such as what happened between the United States and Iran.

  4. I think the United States shouldn't get involved in other countries’ policies because their are many risk that could be an outcome because of it. For example a country could overthrow our government. Take Iran for example, when we interfered with Iran they stormed the U.S Embassy and took 52 American hostages.

    1. I agree with that statement, and you had a really good example.

  5. No, the United States should just worry about them and let other countries figure out their own policies. if the U.S. was getting involved in other countries, that won’t result well. It might even result in war because the U.S. wants to “dictate” other countries.

    1. I agree with you that the United States should not get involved with other countries' policies, but I also believe that if the country asks for our help then we should help them if we think they can give us something in return that is valuable. We just have to be careful that we don't aggravate that country. In addition, it is good to have at least a few allies. At the same time, it could turn out bad and like you said, a war could break out.

  6. I think that the U.S. should not get involved in other country’s policies because there are too many risks involved. For example, If the U.S. gets involved with a different country’s government it can take out the say of the people. If the people get mad, they can turn against the U.S. and harm them.

    1. I completely agree because it does have many risks. I also agree with your example because if we get involved we would want to still vote. If we don't get involved then we would probably not get to vote and no one wants that.

    2. I agree because it can be very dangerous. If we do get involved and they don't want us to, they can develop a hate for us and may start a war.

  7. I believe that we should not interfere with countries because it can cause conflict. For example in the movie Iran the Next Iran and Argo we interfered with Iran to control communism and it started a rebellion. The rebellion caused 52 Americans to be held hostage.

  8. I think the U.S shouldn't get involved in other countries policies. My reason is because there are so many risks that could cause terrible events. An example is that people might not like this and go against or even attack us.

    1. I completely agree. Take what we did for Iran for example. We tried to change their government and they have developed a hate for us. If we do this to the other country they could hate us too.

  9. No I don’t think the United States should get involved in other countries policies. If we got involved in other countries policies we could get our government overthrown. Take “Argo”, we involved in Iran's government and they took and held 52 hostages for 444 days and we don’t want that to happen again.

    1. Yours is good and has good info but you should add more info because all you talked about was Argo

  10. No, the United States shouldn’t get involved in other countries policies because of the risks that can happen. For example in the movie "Argo" we stood in the way of Iran and they all came and charged to the U.S embassy and tried to attack the embassy. They ended up taking 52 American hostages. This is why the U.S shouldn’t get involved in other countries policies so nothing like this can happen.

  12. I think the U.S. shouldn't get involved with other countries policies because...
    1. what if that country like Iran is already mad at us. They might disguise people as the people in that country so we might get hurt.
    2. Let’s just say that another accident occurs where the American embassy is destroyed and only 7 people come out alive. Would America be able to save them again?

  13. I don’t think the US should be involved with other countries policies. They should be only involved in their own policies because if they get involved with another country's policies the country they got involved with could get mad and it could lead to bad relationships. For example the US protected the Shah even though he made a lot of people poor and this lead to riots and then lead to the Iranians to take over the US embassy.

  14. I think that we should not get involved in other countries. In the movie “Argo” the U.S was protecting the Shah and let him enter the U.S. In result of the U.S protecting the Shah U.S Iranians took American hostages from the U.S Embassy. Showing that when we interfered with Iran they rebelled and took hostages protesting give the Shah back to Iran.

    1. I agree with your thoughts and I think you have really good information to back up your reason. I also think that it was smart to use Argo as an example.

  15. There are benefits and risks for the U.S. getting involved in other countries for instance the U.S. got lots of oil when they teamed up with Iraq but the outcome of that was bad because the hostages in the U.S. embassy got captured because the country fell into poverty because of us.

    1. You did good! You can make it more descriptive and say where you found this. But overall, you had good evidence.

  16. I do not think the US should get involved in other countries’ policies unless they want help. If they do get involved it could go the wrong way. This could start wars and riots . The country could also develop a hate for us just like Iran did at the beginning of Argo.

  17. No, because then it could lead to what happened in Iran where we saved their leader and they kidnaped over 50 american hostages and didn’t let them out for 444 days more than a year. this could happen again but a lot worse and maybe even kill the hostages and not let them go. Only 7 people escaped and were not there for the 444 days. Would America be able to save those again?

  19. I don’t think they should because it could lead to something dangerous. Also it may cost civilians lives and that we should leave it alone. If we would of left Iran alone maybe they would not taken over the embassy and would not of kept the hostages for 444 days.
