Talia Cohen Part 2

  1. Describe some of the risks and benefits of the United States engineering a regime change in other countries. (change in the government) Use evidence.
There are both risks and benefits of the United States engineering a regime change in other countries. A risk would be other countries getting angry with us. In the movie "Agro" it should that because the Americans protected the Shah, the iranians got mad and came after us. A benefit for us become a better government and have more supplies to make us have good economy. In the article Iran the Next Iraq” it states that the US helped Iran to become a better country and they gave us back oil. Overall there are risks and benefits of the US engineering a regime change in other countries.

  1. (Use #4 to help) Should the United States get involved in other countries’ policies? Use evidence.

No, the United States shouldn’t get involved in other countries policies because of the risks that can happen. For example we stood in the way of Iran and they all came and charged to the U.S embassy and tried to attack the embassy. They ended up taking 52 American hostages. This is why the U.S shouldn’t get involved in other countries policies so nothing like this can happen.

  1. I think you did well explaining it but for part 2 you need to label that the US embassy was attacked and from the movie "Argo"
