Megan's response to part 2

Part II
  1. Describe some of the risks and benefits of the United States engineering a regime change in other countries. Use “Iran the Next Iraq”, “Argo” and the Upfront Article, “What’s the Deal with Iran” to help  defend your answer.
A benefit of the United States engineering a regime change is other countries is we could help make that country's government stronger than it would be. Also if we help other countries than we could get some other resources in return. For instance according to "Iran the Next Iraq", it states that the US helped Iran and they gave us some oil in return. A risk would be the country would get angry with us and started a conflict because of it. According to “Argo” because the United States protected the Shah, the Iranians stormed the Embassy.

  1. (Use #4 to help you answer this question) Should the United States get involved in other countries’ policies? Use all the articles you have and additional research to answer this question.

I think the United States shouldn't get involved in other countries’ policies because their are many risk that could be an outcome because of it. For example a country could overthrow our government. Take Iran for example, when we interfered with Iran they stormed the U.S Embassy and took 52 American hostages.
