 blog about AUstralia by:Albert Covaci
My country’s named is Australia and it is in Oceania. Rugby is one of the best sports in Australia with brutal hits and knockdowns. Rugby started in 1871 and the ball that they play with is called quanco and is diamond shaped. Rugby players should have more protection so not many concussions occur. Before the match they do something called a rugby dance war, it is about the team's showing their might by dancing before the match. Government in Australia is a democracy. The nation remains a member of Britain's commonwealth of nations and officially recognizes Queen Elizabeth the second who is also the leader of England also. The federal parliament has 2 houses 76 members senate and 150 member of house of representative. If you noticed the federal parliament is where emmet from the lego movie is where he gave his speech. One of the biggest exports are livestock and minerals like iron, diamond and gold. Also one of the biggest export partners Japan, China, the U.S.A, South Korea, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. The country is self-sufficient in food productions. About 60 percent of exports go to Asian nations.

I was impressed of what’s their favorite sport or what types of foods they like to eat. Australia is an amazing country to live or just visit, anyway I hope you enjoyed this blog:) https://www.pinterest.com/jgoldperiod4/albertc-period-7-australia/

  1. I think it's cool how much different Australia is from Russia. In Russia, they play most of the common sports; basketball, soccer, and football. I think it's interesting to learn about other sports and how different the sports are in Australia than Russia

  6. I really enjoyed learning about Australia and I thought it was interesting to compare your country to Ethiopia. One difference is that the main sport is genna in Ethiopia, but in Australia it is rugby. Also, you said that Australia is known for barbecue and food cooked on hot coals, but in Ethiopia, they eat their food with a bread called injera. Lastly, I enjoyed learning about the law and how people who do not vote are fined, and you must vote at the age of 18 and older in federal and state elections. This is different in the country Ethiopia because you don't have to vote. Great job on your presentation!

  7. Great job on your presentation! Australia is very different from Italy. A difference is that the main sport in Italy is soccer, and the main sport in Australia is rugby. In Italy they typically don't serve barbecue, but they serve pastas and pizzas. I also learned that people are fined for not voting, but they are not forced to vote in Italy.

  9. Albert you did a nice job on your presentation you were really funny. Australia and Madagascar don’t really have too much in common especially food. you talked about how they usually eat bread. Well Madagascar ually never eats bread, and during the rare times when they do the usually never put any type of spread on it. Our government is not super similar but more than our food. we both have a Senate and a House Of Representatives but we don’t have the same amount of people. Rugby is not so popular in Madagascar but people still play it. We have played a little bit longer then you guys but only by a year. Well I enjoyed your presentation I hope you will enjoy mine.

  10. You did a great job on your presentation and I really liked how you made it funny and that's how I like to learn. Australia is very different from China. Especially the foods. I think that it's cool that they have to vote and people in China have options.

  13. You did a very good job presenting. I liked how you made your information funny and you made the whole class laugh. Australia is very different than Syria. It has a better economy and a better leader

  14. Ok-I have to admit you had the most hilarious/entertaining presentation of the year. You involved the class and really were able to bring Australia to life. Vegemite sounds disgusting and I don't think I would ever try it. I think you were able to really tie some comparisons to the US an Australia as well. Nice job.
