Costa Rica is located in Central America
Costa Rica is a very interesting country! North of Costa Rica is Nicaragua and South of Costa Rica is Panama. In Costa Rica, the president of Costa Rica is Luis Guillermo SOLIS Rivera and has been president since May 8 2014. Also there are 2 vice presidents which are Helio Fallas Venega and Ana Helena CHACON Echeverria and both have been vice president since May 8 2014. It's interesting how there are 2 vice presidents in Costa Rica when there is only one in the United States of America. In Costa Rica, There is a law that states that children are required to complete Elementary school and move on to secondary school [Which is a higher educated school from ages 11-16 or 11-19]. That's some interesting considering that here in America, we do elementary school, then middle school, then high school! Also the University of Costa Rica is located really close to the capital of Costa Rica. Also Costa Rica's geography is very interesting because Costa Rica has rain forests, volcanoes, rivers, and over 700 miles of beach area. That's a lot of beach area in a small country in Central America. Wow, that's a lot of beach area, that would be AWESOME to swim with that much area to swim in! Also, way back in time when the Boruca which is a native tribe roamed Central America. The Boruca had made these masks out of Cedar tree wood that were made to scare away Spanish Invaders. I never knew that Cedar tree masks can scare away Spanish invaders! Well now Costa Rican people make different designs of these masks. I loved researching Costa Rica and I hope I can go to Costa Rica again.

I loved the information you shared about Costa Rica and the rich culture it has. I think the differences from the US are interesting-and did not know they had two vice presidents! I think it looks like such a beautiful country and can't wait to hear you tell all about it!
ReplyDeleteI like how there is 2 vice presidents and how there were tribes in coasts Erica to
ReplyDeleteI think you did very well and Costa Rica has a similar but different culture than France
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on your blog and presentation. It's very cool that costa rica makes those very colorful masks. They seem very hard to make. Also it is cool how there are 700 miles of beach land. Great job!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job! I loved learning about Costa Rica, and comparing it to my country. One law is that children have to go to school in Costa Rica, but in Ethiopia, children are not required to go to to school. Also, you stated that tribes created a mask that looks like human face with features of an animals like a toucan, a jaguar, a crocodile, and a snake. In Ethiopia, I learned that one of the main arts is dancing. Overall, I liked your presentation!
ReplyDeleteBrent you did a marvelous job on your presentation. Our countries have very little in common. Our government is pretty different especially because you have two Vice Presidents we don’t even have a Vice President we have a Prime Minister. Our education isn’t to unrelated we both have different types of schools from the U.S. Most all our economy has nothing alike except the beaches only because Madagascar is an island. Well I enjoyed your presentation I hope you enjoyed mine.
ReplyDeleteI loved your presentation and your blog. You did such a great job!! China and Costa Rica don't have much in common but I think it's really cool that there's an active volcano. I also think it's amazing that there are 700 miles of beach.
ReplyDeleteI liked your presentation and your blog. Our educations are similar but they don't go to secondary school, Germany has something like it. It is also cool about the 700 miles of beach.
