Asher’s Germany Excursion

Asher’s Germany excursion
Germany is located in Europe and is surrounded by The Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, and Poland. I have spent weeks researching and learning all about Germany. One of the many things. I learned the head of the state is President Joachim Gauck. The head of the government is Chancellor Angela Merkel. The country's president is elected as head of state by members of the federal and state legislatures to serve for up to two five-year terms. I did not know Germany had two leaders. Also I learned Beethoven is not a dog which I learned is just a movie.
I also learned about manufacturing in Germany. The east economy of Germany is far worse than the west economy which has a pretty strong economy. One of the companies that help the economy is Volkswagen that is a car company that sells cars to other countries. Same thing with BMW and other car companies. SO MY DAD'S CAR WAS MADE IN GERMANY?! :0. And I learned in Germany they celebrate Christmas differently, One thing that US has in common with Germany is Christmas. But Germany's is one the 26th of December. And it is a little different. People drink red wine. There are outdoor stores, and they have religious roots. That kinda was shocking I thought everyone celebrates Christmas the same, So I thought wrong. I had fun learning about the culture of Germany I hope I will learn more about it.

  1. I hope, if nothing else, you've learned the difference between Beethoven the dog and composer. Hopefully you learned about his life (and that he was deaf-which is unbelievable for a musician)....and by him, I do not mean the dog. I think there is much to learn about Germany-a country rich with history....both good and evil. Keep looking into this and you never know what you might find.

  3. I liked your presentation. It was cool to learn that Germany has a president and a Chancellor. Syria does not have a chancellor, it has a president and a prime minister. I do not know a lot about your president but I bet that he is a better leader than Bashar al-assad. It was also cool that Beethoven was deaf.

  5. Nice job Asher! I think that Germany is an interesting country. The president of Germany is Joachim Gauck, but in Ethiopia it is Mulatu Teshome. Also, I liked learning about Beethoven. One famous musician in Ethiopia is Teddy Afro. By the way, nice blog!

  6. Asher our countries are not really that similar. you have a chancellor and we have a president. Our arts are very different you have Beethoven, and we don’t really have a good composers. We really have no composers. I also thought it was cool that Beethoven was deaf. Our currency is very different we don’t really have any money. Well I enjoyed your presentation I hope you enjoyed mine.

  7. I liked your blog a lot and I think you could've explained and learned more about your country. Germany and China don't really have much in common but I think it's cool that Germany has a chancellor and a president.
